Day 20 - ...It is now!

So, we have dried out and enjoyed an astonshing degree of hospitality from the good folk of Anglesey. We took the train back to Tonbridge, then drove down to Eastbourne, picked up the trailer and drove back to Anglesey. The train journey was excellent, but it might have been quicker to have walked the road trip back to the Holy Isle.

After getting the boat towed in to the sailing club slipway, we were able to dismantle her as the tide dropped and get her packed away into her trailer. Quite sad, really.

She is now back at ESSC and will be going up for sale today.

Looking ahead, both Pole and I see this as unfinished business and we will be back to finish the trip off. however, we know that we have used up our chances of taking a substantial block of time off so we know that any future attempts will have to be made piecemeal with a week done here and another done there ... maybe with years between trips.

This means that we dont need a fast boat any more. We can do the rest of the trip in something a bit more comfortable. We dont want to go the whole hog and get a cruising yacht, it still needs to be dinghy-like but perhaps a little more sedate than Double Sovereign.

Watch this space for updates - it wont be next year, but perhaps the year after ...

Finally - I've been busy with the video footage that we shot. This will be finding its way onto youtube as I get each day done. I'll put links into the relevant days on the blog but if you want to go straight there, the playlist is here:
